Arrest of 318 illegal immigrants in Radoum Directorate

Police in Radoum District, Shabwa Governorate, seized 318 illegal immigrants with Somali and Ethiopian nationalities.
The police of Radoum Directorate explained that the illegal migrants arrived on two smuggling boats to the coast of Kedah.
Noting that 215 of the illegal immigrants hold Ethiopian nationality, while the remaining 103 migrants hold Somali nationality.
Our country is represented at the meeting by the Director of the International Cooperation Department at the General Directorate of Drug Control at the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant Khamis Larzi.
The meeting aims to enhance cooperation and coordination among Arab countries in the field of combating illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, and to exchange immediate information on criminal activities related to this field.
Our country's participation comes within the framework of efforts to enhance regional and international cooperation in facing the challenges associated with combating drugs, and to make the most of the experiences and information exchanged between Member States.
Lieutenant Radhi pointed out the importance of this meeting in unifying efforts among Arab countries and activating mechanisms for the immediate exchange of information, as this has a fundamental role in enhancing Arab national security and confronting the threats resulting from illicit drug trafficking.
This participation comes as an extension of the leading role played by our country in the framework of combating drugs, and as a reflection of its commitment to continuous cooperation with Arab countries in this important field
