Ministry of Interior - Aden:
Today, the Minister of the Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan was with the Director of the World Food Programme (WFP) office in Aden, Ms Mutanta Shimoka, and her accompanying staff. They discussed cooperation and coordination between the Ministry, WFP and WFP humanitarian interventions in Yemen. The Minister of the Interior was briefed on the role of WFP, its humanitarian activities and its interventions in Yemen. It was during the meeting, which was attended by the head of the relief and international cooperation team in the Office of the President of the Republic, Dr. Mariam Dougani.
Minister Haidan affirmed the readiness of the Ministry of Interior to overcome all difficulties facing the work of the program. As well as the keenness of the government and the Ministry of Interior to pay all humanitarian aspects of attention and care. Besides, the government allows the provision of such humanitarian assistance in all governorates of the Republic. For her part, Ms. Shimoka praised the efforts made by the Ministry of the Interior and the Yemeni Government to overcome all the difficulties faced by international organizations. These organizations were working within the framework of the World Food Programme (WFP). She is noting that WFP's efforts to provide food assistance in all governorates of the Republic continued. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director General of the Office of the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant Colonel Saleh Basmeer.
