Major General Ibrahim Haidan, Minister of Interior, met this morning with the Commander of the Joint Forces, Lieutenant-General Mutlaq bin Salem Al-Azima. The meeting discussed the security situation in the liberated Yemeni governorates and efforts to combat terrorism and drug and weapons smuggling.
Haidan noted that the Yemeni coasts, which extend along the coastal strip from the borders of Oman to Midi, on the borders of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, need concerted efforts and provide technical and logistical support to monitor the coasts. He pointed out that many smugglers working for the Houthi militias, who depend on drugging their fighters and pushing them to the fronts without feeling, were arrested.
He referred to the fraternal support provided by the Arab coalition led by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as friendly countries. For his part, Lieutenant-General Mutlaq Al-Azima affirmed the efforts made by the Yemeni Ministry of Interior to normalize the security situation in most of the liberated governorates, wishing Yemen security and stability and the defeat of the terrorist Houthi militia, which is a cancerous tumor in the body of the Republic of Yemen that must be treated.
