The Ministry of Interior issued a report on the completion of the civil services sector for the last year 2022, reinforced by the achievements, activities and detailed statistics of the sector's departments in the liberated governorates, which include civil status and civil registry, immigration, passports and nationality, rehabilitation and reform, and civil defense.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for the Civil Services Sector, Major General Abdul Majid Barak Al-Amiri, said that the Civil Status and Civil Registration Authority issued last year 506 thousand and 354 documents, including 246 thousand , 292 ID cards, 24 thousand , 849 family cards, 215 thousand , 670 birth certificates, 16 thousand , 50 death certificates, 650 vital facts and events for non-Yemenis, including birth and death certificates, two thousand and 947 marriage facts.
He added that the total number of passports issued by the Immigration, Passports and Citizenship Authority last year through its branches in the liberated provinces at home and embassies and diplomatic missions abroad number one million 104 thousand and 319 passports.
Where the number of 774 thousand and 62 passports were issued from the branches of the authority inside the country, in addition to the issuance of issuance centers abroad, the number of 330 thousand and 257 passports.
The number of Yemenis arriving and departing through the land, sea and air ports reached 1,907,783 people, and 333,441 foreigners.
The agent Al-Amiri pointed out that the statistical report of the Rehabilitation and Reform Department (Prisons) recorded about 3 thousand and 660 remaining prisoners from the year before last 2021, while last year recorded 4 thousand and 671 inmates, and 4 thousand and 63 outmates, bringing the total number of remaining prisoners in the past year to 4 thousand and 268 prisoners.
Major General Al-Amiri praised the great attention paid by His Excellency the Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Ali Haydan, to all sectors of the ministry, foremost of which is the civil services sector, for its direct link to the service of citizens and its constant and continuous keenness to follow up and overcome all the difficulties and obstacles facing the sector, enabling it to carry out its roles and tasks in the best way to achieve the aspirations of the ministry, which raised the human slogan first.
