The Ministry of Interior issued the annual security statistics report for the security sector and the police for the past year 2022. It was regarding   criminal crimes, non-criminal accidents, traffic accidents, and anti-narcotics achievements in the liberated governorates.  The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for the security  and  police sector,  Major General Muhammad  Musaed  Al-Amir , said: The report included12,440 criminal offences  , of which  7,161  were  seized,  and 5,279 were not    seized. In addition to that there are 895 non-criminal incidents, as well as two thousand and 692 traffic accidents. While the number of cases referred to the Public Prosecution reached 6 thousand and 475 cases. He added: The statistics of the reports on human losses resulting from criminal crimes and non-criminal and traffic accidents recorded. It was the number of one thousand and 258 deaths, 4 thousand and 988 injuries. It was including human losses resulting from traffic accidents due to excessive speed. It amounted to 430 deaths, as well as, one thousand and 960 injuries. While the material losses resulting from traffic accidents amounted to about one billion, 484 million, and 299 thousand riyals. According to General Al-Amir, the General Directorate of  Drug Control succeeded in seizing about 7 tons  and 450 kilograms of  cannabis   , 313  kilograms   of Shabu , 6,000  and 856  Captag on pills ,113 heroin ,  as well as 390 cocaine. Large quantities of them were destroyed by official records.  He pointed out that the administrative work of the  Traffic   Police amounted  to 17,843 vehicle numbering , one thousand  and  14  bicycle numbering   , 27,085 issuance of driving  licenses  , 52,451 renewal  and transfer of ownership,  and 11,590   traffic violations. While, it amounted to Revenues are about 362 million 640 thousand 599 riyals.
