The Yemeni Coast Guard receives smugglers from a U.S. Navy ship

Coast Guard – Aden The Coast Guard, al-Mahra's sector, received from a US Navy ship in the territorial waters yesterday, Wednesday, three Yemeni people suspected of working in a contraband network after they were rescued by the US ship in international waters - the northern Arabian Sea after a fire broke out in their boat. The Coast Guard explained to the security media that preliminary information indicated that the fire was caused by the boat's crew to get rid of the contraband. Referring to their referral to the competent authority to complete the procedures followed, where coordination was made with the local authority in Al-Ghayda to provide the necessary medical care to one of the fire injured. It is noteworthy that a boarding and inspection team from the Yemeni Coast Guard has been on board the United States vessel for a number of days in the context of capacity-building, exchange of experience, cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries in combating the smuggling of arms and drugs and strengthening maritime security operations. >
