The police of Shabwa Governorate said that 252 refugees from the Horn of Africa landed on the coast of Kedah, Radoum region, within the framework of the continuous flows of African refugees to Yemeni territory. They have landed through the sea illegally, which represents a great burden on government capabilities to absorb additional quantities in light of the difficult conditions experienced by the country,as well as a heavy burden on the economic and security field.
The Shabwa Governorate police explained that the 252 Africans  arriving through illegal immigration landed on the coast of Kedah in two groups. Each group was transported by a smuggling boat that pushes them into the sea near the coasts. The police  noted that the first group consists of 130 African refugees, including 90 Ethiopians and 40 Somalis. While the second group included 122 people, including 72 refugees of Ethiopian nationality and the rest, 50 Somalis
