Today, the Governor of Taiz Governorate, Chairman of the Security Committee, Nabil Shamsan, chaired a meeting of the Security Committee in the Shamayatayn Directorate, to discuss the approval of the launch of the security and military campaign in the Directorate, and a number of proposals aimed at enhancing security and stability.
The meeting, which included the Director of the Governorate Police, Brigadier General Mansour Al-Akhali, and a member of the Security Committee, the commander of the axis of Al-Baha, the commander of the Fourth Mountain Infantry Brigade, Major General Abu Bakr Al-Jabouli, the commander of the Special Security Forces Branch, Brigadier General Jamil Aklan, the Director General of the Shamayatayn Directorate, Abdulaziz Al-Shaibani. As well as a number of commanders of the security and military units in the Directorate, came out with a number of decisions, including the approval of the plan for the joint military security campaign in the Directorate and the adoption of the Directorate's "Soil City" as a weapons-free zone, and the activation of work in the Joint Operations Room, which includes various security and military units to intensify efforts to maintain the state of security and stability.
The governor of Taiz praised the security efforts exerted in the Shamayatayn Directorate, and the successes in controlling the security situation and arresting a number of cells connected to the Iranian-backed Houthi militias.
Stressing the need to exert more effort and activate all energies in the security aspect as it is the most important and fundamental in the process of development and stability.
He stressed the importance of involving the sectors of society in the security process and missing the opportunity for the Houthi militias that lurk in the directorate and all the directorates of the governorate .
The meeting stressed the continuation of joint tasks between the military and security units in Taiz/ Lahj within the scope of the directorates of Taiz countryside and the directorates of Northwest and Coast of Lahj. The committee's decisions also included preparing a plan to develop and organize cooperation between the security and military units involved in carrying out the tasks, which are approved by the governorates of Taiz and Lahj governorates.
Subsequently, the Governor of Taiz, along with a member of the Security and Military Committee, visited and inspected a number of common points at the entrances to the city of Al-Turbah and the main roads leading to it and the link with Lahj Governorate
