The Director General of the Police of Abyan Governorate, Brigadier General Ali Nasser Baazb, confirmed that military operations are continuing to cleanse the governorate of Al Qaeda terrorist elements.
Al-Hadath channel, General Kazmi pointed out that the joint forces besiege elements of the terrorist al-Qaeda organization in a camp in Wadi Omran in the district of Modiya. He stressed that the joint forces are ready to cleanse the camp and establish full control over it in the coming hours.
Kazmi pointed out that al-Qa 'idah elements had laid many mines in the governorate to prevent the joint forces from advancing to clear their dens.The security and military services are currently working to secure and stabilize the areas cleared of terrorist elements.
He stressed that the governorate of Abyan paid a heavy price as a result of these terrorist elements, which have worked for years to destabilize security and stability and disturb the public tranquillity of the citizens in the governorate
