The Aden police said that they arrested 9 defendants in possession and promotion of drugs in two raids on drug traffickers' dens in informal areas in coordination and cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Administration after a careful monitoring and investigation of their whereabouts.
The Aden police explained that in the first operation, 3 defendants were caught in the possession of drugs Their ages are from 25-27 years  with  two fingers of cannabis estimated at 20 grams. When they went down to their homes, 835 grams of cannabis were seized in the house of the first defendant, while a 70 gram piece of cannabis was seized in the house of the second defendant, 23 strips of Rafaltein, and a variety of four strips of cannabis pills.
In the second operation in the Mansoura area, in coordination and cooperation between the police and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Six of defendants were caught in flagrante delicto between the ages of 24 and 60 years. The six defendants were caught in flagrante delicto possessing narcotic drugs in the yards of their home, which consisted of 3808 Preg Baleen pill strips, 1,084 expired strips, 284 antibiotic injection cartons, 1,764 expired divorce injections,  and 4,000 vitamin C pills, part of which expired,  valued at thirty million Yemeni riyals.
Noting that it detained the arrested defendants with seizures pending the case for legal proceedings, attributing the causes of the crime to graft,  and the weakness of the moral deterrent
