The Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, confirmed that the greatness of the historic achievement of the revolution of September 26, 1962 was embodied in its success in bringing about a radical transformation in the lives of Yemenis.
He praised the goals formulated by the heroes of this revolution, which were a translation of the demands of the people at the time.
The Minister of the Interior said in an interview with the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) on the occasion of the 62nd National Day of the September 26 Revolution. " The eternal September 26 revolution revealed the reality of the situation of the Yemeni people and the magnitude of the catastrophe they were living under the tyrannical and repressive Imam rule, which consecrated the triad of ignorance, poverty and famine with the spread of diseases and epidemics that killed Yemenis."
He pointed to racial and class discrimination and the consecration of the systematic division in society, tribes and families that prevailed during the period of priestly Imamate, and it was a certain group that received health, educational and cultural attention while depriving the rest of the people of these privileges.
He stressed that the September 26 revolution represented a new birth for Yemen and Yemenis and moved the people from the ages of darkness, underdevelopment, ignorance, tyranny and tyranny to the age of light, freedom, education, progress, development, prosperity, prosperity and political pluralism . It contributed to the establishment of a state that enjoys full sovereignty and has a regular army and security forces that protect the citizen and defend his rights and national gains.
The Minister of Interior pointed out that the values and principles of the 26 September Revolution focused on building the human being first. Therefore, its objectives focused on liberation from tyranny, colonialism, and their remnants, establishing a fair republican rule, and eliminating class differences and privileges among the people. The goals of the revolution were also keen to raise the level of the people economically, socially, politically, and culturally, making it a comprehensive revolution that worked to make a radical change in the lives of the people. It focused on building the people culturally and cognitively and fighting ignorance and illiteracy to the same extent as it focused on in the political, military, and economic fields, according to Minister Haidan.

Major General Haidan added, "Since the establishment of the republican system, successive governments have been keen to raise the level of education, and schools and universities were one of the first strategic projects. The period following the establishment of the republican system also witnessed the work of spreading awareness of the national identity and strengthening it, encouraging and supporting the cultural, literary and intellectual movement. Also, the working to establish and print newspapers, magazines, radios and books, establishing cinemas and intellectual forums, reviving the national cultural heritage, and encouraging artistic and literary work that works to promote belonging and national identity."
Minister Haidan touched on the unity of the Yemeni revolution and the link between the 26 September revolution in northern Yemen and the 14 October revolution in the south, which culminated in the achievement of independence on 30 November 1967. He said, "The 26 September revolutionaries realized that the imamate system in northern Yemen can only be overthrown with the support and cooperation of the revolutionaries of southern Yemen, and the same applied to the 14 October revolutionaries. They realized the difficulty of the task and that British colonialism can only be defeated with the cooperation and support of the 26 September revolutionaries."
"For this reason, the unity of the struggle between the revolutionaries of northern and southern Yemen during the period of struggle and struggle against the imperial tyranny and British colonialism provided a unique model of the greatness of the national unity of the Yemeni people. Although the geography at the time was not unified, and these unified revolutionary efforts that overthrew the imamate in the north and expelled the colonizer in the south culminated in the manufacture of the greatest event in the history of Yemen represented by the achievement of national unity on May 22, 1990. It succeed national achievements, development projects and economic renaissance under the republican system until the coup of the terrorist Houthi priesthood militia on September 21, 2014, as an odious extension of the priestly imamate," he said.
The Minister of Interior pointed out that the coup followed the approach of the Imamate and caused the disruption of life, depriving the people of their rights, looting and stealing the state's revenues and military and economic capabilities, bombing wars against the Yemeni people. It also, spreading chaos, destruction and devastation, forming alliances and coordination with extremist groups, gangs and the Iranian smuggling mafia to flood Yemen and the region with hashish and drugs, smuggling weapons, drones and ballistic missiles. This forced us to double security efforts in the liberated governorates, follow in the footsteps of the 26 September revolution in protecting the legacy of the revolution and the gains of the Republic, rebuilding the security services with strength and strength, developing their capabilities and skills. Through qualitative training programs internally and externally, rearming them and providing them with all the logistical requirements required to work in order to ensure the highest levels of security and safety in the face of the Houthi terrorism plans, in addition to rebuild, restore and repair the destruction left by the war in security facilities and institutions.

Minister Haidan reviewed the strategic projects launched by the sectors and interests of the Ministry of Interior, the latest of which was the smart electronic card project, which is one of the most important national projects. As well as the adoption of Yemeni identity and travel documents internationally by joining the Public Key Directory (PKD) of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In addition to launching the electronic networking project for human resources, electronic connectivity of land, sea and air ports, vocational and quality training, and professional qualification of human cadres to ensure the protection of the homeland from the threat of Iranian Houthi smuggling operations.
The Minister of Interior considered all these achievements and security, service and digital projects and the establishment of the Police College in Hadramawt Governorate. To receive new blood that contributes to building a new Yemen and continuing to implement the security strategy as an integral part of continuing the march of the 26 September revolution in the face of the terrorist hordes of the Houthi Imamate.
Minister Haidan stressed the importance of the role of national political, economic and social components and movements in the national battle against the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias, as was their role in the September 26 revolution in 1962 and the overthrow of the Imamate regime.
He stressed that without the elimination of the Houthis and the liberation of all the territory of the Republic, everyone will remain at risk of its terrorism and criminality. Especially if the Houthi militia is not stripped of the tools of military force it currently possesses and all forms of Iranian military and logistical support for this militia are cut off.
"In the face of all these challenges, it is the duty of all components, as they celebrate the 62nd anniversary of the 26 September Revolution and the 61st anniversary of the 14 October Revolution, to be inspired by the national and historical lessons of these two immortal revolutions. All of the components work to unite the ranks, efforts, capabilities and resources towards completing the battle of liberation and eliminating the hordes of the Imamate represented by the terrorist Houthi militias. To crowning all these great sacrifices over the past ten years with the achievement of the great victory," he said
